About Us

Welcome to our swing dance world of the 1930's and 1940's.  We are Jackie and Tony and reside in the Cinque Ports town of Rye, East Sussex.  We love all things 30's and 40's and are passionate about our swing dancing from those eras.

The following is a video clip of us freestyling lindy hop:

We have been dancing and performing lindy hop for around eight years and were the longest serving swing dance couple in the Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers dance troupe before we decided to leave it at the start of this year.  We attend and support 1940's themed weekends and events throughout the year,  These include The Glenn Miller Festival at Twinwoods in Bedfordshire, Yanks at Saddleworth in Yorkshire, The War and Peace Show, The Rhythm Riot and numerous others.  Three years ago Jackie came up with the idea of holding a 1940's swing dance weekend as there were not any pure forties weekends around at the time  in the South East and this was brought upon by her finding a fabulous vintage hotel which is in fact, a museum.  For the last two years we have been involved with the running of this highly successful 1940's swing dance weekend at The Walpole Bay Hotel in Margate .

We present regular 1940's swing and jump jive dance events and provide swing dance classes and dance workshops across Kent and Sussex from Dover to Brighton.  The weekly classes we provide are in the styles of lindy hop, balboa, bal-swing and shag and are held on the outskirts of Heathfield, Folkestone and Brighton.  Private tuition is also offered in those styles from our own home incorporating bed and breakfast facilities if required.

We are also available to assist you in the organising of your own 1940's themed events wherever they may be, providing a dj (with ample dance tunes to keep your event swinging, jumping and jiving), decoration (flags, bunting etc), props and swing dancers.  Please contact us for details and requirements.

Thankyou for looking and come back soon for regular updates.
